Ambassador to Speak on International Trade and Investments

Sir Arlington Butler recent ambassador from the Bahamas to U.S. will be the featured speaker at The Hannaian Business Network Investment Research Conference at the Delray Beach Marriott, in Delray Beach, Florida on June 10, 2000. Sir Arlington's distinguished private career as an educator and Barrister at law, led into an equally distinguished public career in politics and government service. His extraordinary experience and insight in global business, politics, and government has produced some interesting opinions about many of the new issues in the fields of International Investments and Foreign Trade. These unique opinions will be the subject of his address to the conference. The conference is geared to public and private investments in the new millenium. Prior to his appointment as Ambassador to the United States, Sir Arlington was a Member of Parliament in both modern Governments of the Bahamas during the past 35 years. His career as a statesman included posts as Government Minister of several strategic ministries, and included historic service as the last speaker of Parliament in the colonial era, and the first speaker in an independent Bahamas. Sir Arlington who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1996 recently completed his term as ambassador to the United States in early 2000.
